Installing the Chrome Extension

Add Synthesis to your browser and start capturing visual research directly from the web. Setup takes under two minutes.

Open the Chrome Web Store listing

Navigate to the Synthesis extension page. Confirm the extension is offered by Ideate before proceeding.

Add to Chrome

Click the "Add to Chrome" button on the listing page. A confirmation dialog will appear — select "Add extension" to confirm. Chrome will download and install Synthesis automatically.

Pin the extension to your toolbar

Click the puzzle piece icon in the top-right corner of Chrome to open your extensions list. Find Synthesis and click the pin icon so it stays visible in your toolbar for quick access.

Sign in to your Ideate account

Click the Synthesis icon in your toolbar and sign in with your Ideate credentials. Your workspace at app.ideatebetter.com will sync automatically.

Start capturing

Browse to any website. Click the extension icon to capture images, extract color palettes, save links, or clip text. Everything syncs in real time to your Synthesis workspace.
