Ideate Community Update #3
TL;DR
1. Build updates: Clickable Prototype, APIs, and integrations
2. Waiting to hear back from accelerators
3. Shaking hands and kissing babies
Build Updates
From our designer feedback, we feel pretty strongly that our clickable prototype for our first feature is about 95% there. We have put significantly more time and resources to our coded MVP. The SaaS infrastructure is complete and we have begun focusing our efforts on Figma integration and parsing files. Currently, we are in the process of building out an API for uploading and processing Figma files. This will allow us to extract and display individual layers, such as frames, groups, images, and text elements, from the Figma file.
Accelerator Waiting Game
We continue to apply for accelerators and pre-accelerators that seem to be a good fit. -
Techstars Rising Stars: Recently gave our final pitch with the screening committee and are anxiously awaiting the results of that $100,000 investment.
DesignerFund: We were very excited about the possibility of joining the DesignerFund, but were not invited to this round. Excited to reapply once we have secured an accelerator.
Techstars: We are anxiously preparing our application for the Nov 20th Techstars deadlines. We plan on applying for both the San Francisco and New York programs!
Shaking Hands and Kissing Babies
We had some great meetings over the last week or two.
Former founder of Bluprint had some great feedback for us on to improve our pitch
The head of design operations at Intuit gave us some great insights in to the measures that they have taken to improve the efficiency within their design department. He also gave great feedback on current pain points that they experience and would be solved with Ideate!
What’s Next?
Each day we get closer and closer to the launch of our MVP. We are continuing our fundraising outreach, as well as seeking feedback from designers.
How Can You Be of Help?
We’re looking to connect with more designers, art directors, creative directors, and studio owners.
Funding Sources : We’re seeking more intros to get the ball rolling on our pre seed round. If you know someone we should talk to, please share this substack or connect us!
Thank you for joining us in our journey to create a world where designers can just design.
